On the opening day of Thai Silk International Fashion Week, the fashion trends predicted to storm in 2023 were promoted by many designers.
On December 6, the Thai Silk International Fashion Week event was officially opened at Royal Paragon Hall in Bangkok, Thailand. The event will last from December 6-11, 2022, bringing together a large number of famous designers and stars from many different countries.
On the opening day of the event, many fashion trends predicted to make waves in 2023 such as Y2K, Mermaidcore, and maxi… were promoted by many different designers.
Besides the fashion promotion area, the event space also overwhelmed the guests with the display areas and stalls related to Thai silk. Notably, the guests attending the event also had the opportunity to witness a close-up of the extremely interesting process of “silk weaving”.
In particular, within the framework of Thai Silk International Fashion Week, a Vietnamese-Thai cultural and fashion exchange program named “Ao Dai meet Thai Silk” will also take place on December 7. The program is jointly organized by the Government of Thailand, the Embassy of Vietnam in Thailand, and the Thai Silk & Culture Promotion Association.
At the “Ao Dai meet Thai Silk” program, Vietnamese designers will present collections of ao dai made from Thai silk and Vietnamese silk. Vietnamese designers who will participate in the show include Ngo Nhat Huy, Tran Thien Khanh, Le Thi Lan Huong, Huy Hoang, and Ruby Tran.
Many beauty queens from Vietnam such as Miss Intercontinental 2022 Le Nguyen Bao Ngoc, Miss Grand International 2021 Nguyen Thuc Thuy Tien, Miss World Vietnam 2019 Luong Thuy Linh, Miss World Vietnam 2022 Huynh Nguyen Mai Phuong, Miss Grand Vietnam 2022 Doan Thien An, 1st runner-up at Miss World Vietnam 2019 Nguyen Ha Kieu Loan (Lona), 1st runner-up at Miss International Vietnam 2022 Che Nguyen Quynh Chau, 2nd runner-up Miss Vietnam 2020 Nguyen Le Ngoc Thao, 2nd runner-up Miss World Vietnam 2022 Nguyen Phuong Nhi, Miss Vietnam 2018 Tran Tieu Vy… will gather and perform in the program to honor the image of Vietnamese ao dai and silk.
On an opening day, representatives from Vietnam were also present very early to participate in the first activities of the event before the “Ao Dai meet Thai Silk” program tomorrow.
